The boat owner from Florida was having her boat towed to Maine. While on the trip the trailer broke and the driver abandoned the boat in a parking lot in Georgia. The owner asked US Boat Haulers to pick up the boat and finish the delivery to Maine. Often times drivers of pick up trucks believe they can haul a boat many miles across the country, but if the trailer was not maintained properly over its life time problems can arise while in transit, like rusted out frames, bad bearings or blown out tires.
Loading a boat with a tow truck is very common for many smaller boats, the tow truck is mobile and usually have large booms.
When the trailer frame broke it allowed the boat to come down on the tires of the trailer, no major damage occurred but the trailer could not finish the trip.
