The 2019 Sabre 42, from Glen Cove NY (NW Long Island NY) to Richmond CA. Chris with US Boat Haulers loaded the Sabre 42 at Safe Harbor Glen Cove, Safe Harbor Glen Cove is part of the Safe Harbor Marina family. The Boatyard was great, allowed me to use their power washer to clean off the trailer after a big snow storm and stay over night on the property after loading the boat. Leaving Long Island we traveled at night, with 2 pilot cars west to the Throgs Neck Bridge, after that we drove up hwy 684 to hwy 84W and out of the north west. The miles from there went smooth till we got to Reno NV and a large snow storm had covered Donner Pass which is at 7,056 ft, Donner is in the northern Sierra Nevada Mountains. I had to stay in Reno for 2 days while the DOT cleared the pass, once it was open I was able to ease on down to KKMI in Richmond CA. KKMI is always wonderful to work with, I kept in communication with them on the delay and they fit me into the schedule once I arrived. US Boat Haulers picks up and delivers to KKMI often and recommend them to boaters of all kind.
